HARVEST LAKE 2016  ---  Five friends fall under the seductive influence of a libidinous, otherworldly presence that threatens to change their lives forever. I give this motion picture the highest praise possible. I felt genuinely uncomfortable throughout the film. A standard movie cliche (5 young folk on vacation in the woods) is transformed into a riveting experience from frame one. The monster more than serves its purpose with unexpected & squeamish results.
